Snapshots
Snapshots are saved images of your instance at a specific point in time. They capture the exact state of your server, including its files, applications, and settings. Snapshots are useful if you want to make changes to your server and need a quick way to restore it if something goes wrong. Unlike backups, which are usually scheduled, snapshots are typically created manually whenever you want a quick recovery point. They’re ideal for testing updates, new configurations, or applications on your instance without risk.
The Antyxsoft Cloud Platform offers two types of Snapshots:
In this guide you will learn how to take snapshots of an Instance.
From the portal navigate to the Snapshots menu.
Click on the Instance Snapshots tab.
Click on the plus (+) button located at the top right, you will be presented with the Backup creation menu.
- First chose the Project you want the Snapshot to be created for.
- Then you'll have to select the datacenter location where the Snapshot will be created.
- Select the instance you want to take a snapshot of and give a name for the snapshot at the Snapshot Name section.
- Finally, set the billing cycle of the resource.
- When ready click on Review and Create Snapshot.
When you create your VM Snapshot you can manage it from the Snapshots > Instance Snapshots menu.
From this section, you can manage your VM Snapshots with ease: view available snapshots, revert to a previous state, or remove snapshots.
In this guide you will learn how to take snapshots of a Block Storage.
From the portal navigate to the Snapshots menu.
Click on the Block Storage Snapshots tab.s

- First chose the Project you want the Snapshot to be created for.
- Then you'll have to select the datacenter location where the Snapshot will be created.
- Select the volume you want to take a snapshot of and give a name for the snapshot at the Snapshot Name section.
- Finally, set the billing cycle of the resource.
- When ready click on Review and Create Snapshot.
When you create your Block Storage Snapshot you can manage it from the Snapshots > Block Storage Snapshots menu.
From this section, you can manage your Block Storage Snapshots with ease: view available snapshots, revert to a previous state, or remove snapshots.
