Templates
The Templates feature is a powerful tool that enables customers to upload custom images—such as qcow2, RAW, VHD, or VMDK formats—directly to their profile for streamlined VM deployment. This flexibility allows for rapid setup of personalized environments, making it easy to launch VMs pre-configured to meet specific needs. By using Templates, you can save time, boost productivity, and maintain consistency across your deployments. In this article, we'll dive into how the Templates feature works and how it can simplify your infrastructure setup.
To upload a new Template in your Antyxsoft Cloud Account follow these steps:
Once you login into your account from the side panel click on the Templates menu.
Once you click on Create Template you will be presented with the this screen:
- First choose the Project you want for the Template to be saved at.
- Then you'll have to select the datacenter location where the Template will be uploaded.
And now you will have to enter the details of your new Template.
At the Template Name enter a fitting name for your new Template. In the Description field enter a small descripion of the Template. At the URL field enter the URL from where the image file will be downloaded from. At Format you will have to select what type of format the uploated image is. For Root Disk Controller select the disk driver that will be used to launch the Template. In Template Type select the usage of the uploaed image. At the Select Image field select the base OS of the uploaded image. Finally for at the Select OS field you will have to select the OS of the uploaded image.
Templates that are uploaded are shown during the instance creation at My Templates tab
